Charmi Kaur’s 'Mantra 2' is now being touted as the first Indian horror flick to have a female lead in the original as well as the sequel.The film’s debutant director S.V. Satish claims, “For the first time in India, a horror film features a female protagonist in the original and sequel. While 'Mantra 2' is not a continuation of the first 'Mantra', both films belong to the horror genre.”“In fact, the sequel is even scarier than the original. This kind of horror has never been seen before in Indian cinema,” he adds.Charmi plays a software professional in the film, which is being mostly shot at night. The final schedule begins in the third week of October and 'Mantra 2' is said to feature only two songs unlike the original.
