...A little birdie tells us that newbie Vaani Kapoor has bagged an endorsement that was earlier endorsed by Katrina kaif.The birdie added that Kat had been the brand ambassador of the beauty soap brand with her Jab Tak Hain Jaan co-star Shahrukh Khan for quite a while now but apparently, her contract has ended.Earlier, there were reports that Deepika Padukone had bagged the deal for a very good price too, but there was no official confirmation. Now, the word is that one film-old Vanni kapoor will be the new face of the popular soap brand. If this is true, it’s certainly a good start for the Shuddh Desi Romance actor whose Bollywood career has just begun. Since the Telugu audience was unaware of the former model, her role as a leading lady raised many eyebrows.Similarly,Vaani Kapoor is another surprise addition to the list of fresh faces to star opposite a big hero. The model-turned-actress surprised everyone when she bagged the lead role opposite Nani in Aha Kalyanam directed by debutante Gokul Krishna. The romantic comedy is the official Telugu/Tamil remake of Band Baaja Baaraat (BBB) that starred Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh. The makers needed a fresh face and the quest ended with the discovery of Vaani.This news grabbed headlines because it came at a time when Vaani's debut Bollywood film, Shuddh Desi Romance, was yet to hit the screens. Apparently, Vaani had a three film contract with the Bollywood production house that is remaking the film.Pooja Hedge is the latest entrant to the bandwagon. The former runner up of Miss Universe India, 2010, who made her debut with Tamil action-drama Mugamoodi, would be sharing screen space with Naga Chaitanya in an untitled film to be directed by Vijay Kumar Konda. Pooja's inclusion in the project came as a bit of surprise since everyone expected a mainstream actress as the leading lady.Explaining why they zeroed in on Pooja, the director says, "We wanted to rope in a fresh face as the leading lady. We weighed several options before zeroing in on Pooja. Since the film is a romantic entertainer, we think she's apt for the script and her onscreen chemistry with Chai will also look good," adding that her role is not just about glam but has ample scope for performance................
